Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is a Cottage Bakery?
The Texas Cottage food law was passed into law September First, 2013. It allows baked goods that do not require refrigeration to be made in the home and sold direct to consumers.
2) Can I order Gluten Free Products?
The short answer here is yes. With very few exceptions, most of our products can be made gluten free. But we do produce both Gluten and Gluten free products out of the same kitchen. We do take every precaution to prevent cross contamination, but it can still occur.
3) Can I order allergy free products?
As with Gluten Free products, we can do other special needs orders. Vegan and Nut Free baking is available, but non-vegan product and products containing nuts are produced in the same kitchen. We do take every precaution to prevent cross contamination, but it can still occur.
4) Do we use Organic Products
The short answer is no. The long answer is that the goverment has strict guidelines and definitions as to what organic is and what can be labeled as an organic product. While we do use the best quality ingredients that we can source, organic certification is not something we have persued at this time.
5) Where can we purchase products?
Under the cottage law, we are only allowed to sell at very specific locations. We can sell to you directly from our home, from a farmers market or at non-profit events.
6) What form of payments do you take?
Cash, Check, Credit or Debit.
7) Can I order online?
Under the current cottage law, no. We can not provide this functionality on the website. However, you are free to email us at and we will respond to you as soon as possible.
